     Not of This World Icons has been providing its customers with Orthodox Christian icons, crosses, pendants, books and CDs for over sixteen years.  We import these items from Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, and other countries.  Many of these items are very difficult to find anywhere else in the United States.  Your purchases on our website help us to keep our Not of This World Bookstore open on a regular basis Monday through Friday, 10 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.

      Not of This World Bookstore:  In the spirit of St. Innocent of Alaska, Apostle to America, our Santa Rosa Orthodox community is reaching out to those who have never heard of the Orthodox Christian faith.  Our primary mission is through our "Not of This World Bookstore" located on a busy street in downtown Santa Rosa, CA.  The bookstore offers those who have not had any contact with Eastern Orthodoxy a way to experience the treasures which the Orthodox Church has to offer.  Church services are occasionally held at the bookstore chapel, which is dedicated to St. Innocent of Alaska.  Almost every Friday night we transform the bookstore into a "Catacomb Cafe" and our local Orthodox youth serve their friends and other wandering pilgrims from high schools, colleges and off the street, creating a refuge in which to escape the dark atmosphere of this fallen world and experience the love of God that Orthodoxy has to offer.

     Russian Orthodox "Silk-Printed" Icons: We currently have more than 540 different Russian icons mounted on wood available in up to four standard sizes: Small (2 1/2" x 3"), Medium (3 1/2" x 4"), Medium-Large (5" x 6") and Large (7" x 8").  We also have about 200 other icons (including about 150 rare Saints) that are not pictured on the website but can be found using the "Search" tool which is located at the upper left corner of every page.  We also sell 103 two-sided round car icons with cords and 37 one-sided round car icons with self-adhesive pads.  Finally, we have available a limited number of icon diptychs, triptychs, small wood shrines, small wooden three bar car crosses and very nice wooden three bar wall crosses, all of which are made using the same high resolution "silk-printing" as the rectangular icons.

     Bulgarian Crosses and Pendants:  We also sell 134 different sterling silver pendants and crosses made by a Bulgarian jeweler in Sophia, Bulgaria.  He uses a delicately refined process that results in a beautiful sterling silver pendant, some with a blue enamel coating, some plain silver, and some with porcelain icon pendants set in sterling silver.  We carry 18 porcelain icon pendants each set in sterling silver surrounded by four small Swarovksi stones.  There are also 68 other porcelain icon pendants set in sterling silver, including one with the full Jesus Prayer ("LORD JESUS CHRIST SON OF GOD HAVE MERCY ON ME A SINNER") and ten different Theotokos pendants, each with the Queen of Heaven prayer ("MOST HOLY MOTHER OF GOD QUEEN OF HEAVEN PRAY TO GOD FOR US"). Each pendant or cross is enclosed in a small blue cardboard box with cotton inside for display or gift giving convenience.  A 28" black cord is also included with each icon pendant and cross.  We also have available 1 mm thin or .75 mm thinner sterling silver box chains imported from Italy in 16, 18, 20, 24 and 30 inch lengths.

     Yes.  It is in stock.  Our unique website shows the quantity of each item in stock, ready for immediate delivery.  Please note that if the website does not allow you to add an item to your cart, it means someone else has ordered that item in the past few hours.  "In Stock" totals are updated only periodically between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm (Pacific Time) Monday through Saturday.  The website will not allow you to order an item that someone else has recently ordered, therefore protecting you from buying something that is already sold out.  If an item is out of stock, please contact us to see if and when it can be restocked. 

     Shipping Info:  We strive to ship your order the same or next business day.  We ship your packages using US 1st Class or Priority Mail.  Your packages should arrive within one to four days, depending on your distance from our store location (Northern California).  Alaska and Hawaii orders will take a few days longer.  We use US Postal Service Flat Rate and Regional Rate boxes to save you money on your Priority Mail packages.  We have not raised our postage and handling rates on our website in three years, even though the US Postal Service has raised its postage rates three times in the last three years.

     Special shipping needs:  If you need special shipping arrangements, please mention this in the memo field when you are checking out.  UPS Ground is usually the best way to ship larger orders (over 6 pounds) in the contiguous United States.  Delivery times vary between one to eight days depending on the distance from our northern California location.  Many UPS options are available upon request: (Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, 2nd Day Air by 10:30 am, Next Day Air, Next Day Air by Noon, and Next Day Air by 10 am).  For next day delivery, orders should be submitted by 10 am (Pacific Time), Monday through Thursday.  Please click on contact us if you need special shipping arrangements or if you have other questions about our shipping policies.
